Arcadia at Easter Bush is nestled on the Easter Bush campus, surrounded by beautiful countryside. With a stunning natural backdrop, our purpose-built nursery provides children with the opportunity to learn and grow in a peaceful, rural environment.
The nursery boasts a spacious outdoor area, where children can enjoy fresh air, explore nature, and experience fantastic views of wildlife and the countryside.
Arcadia at Easter Bush is led by our experienced Nursery Manager, Doreen McMillan, supported by Deputy Manager Laura Brooks. Doreen and her team joined the Arcadia family in 2018, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication from their time at the former Forest Friends nursery at the Roslin Biocentre.
The team also includes a Senior Team leader, along with our skilled Team Leaders who work closely with our practitioners and modern apprentices. Together, they are committed to delivering the highest quality care and creating a nurturing environment for both children and their families.
Our large, purpose-built setting is designed to inspire and engage children at every stage of their early years. The nursery features three open-plan playrooms, providing space for up to 78 children:
The open-plan design supports free play and independence, with free-flow access to the garden, allowing children to choose between indoor and outdoor activities. The garden serves as an extension of the playrooms, offering endless opportunities for exploration, creativity, and learning.
Our spacious dining area creates a sociable and welcoming environment where children can enjoy meals and snacks together. Shared spaces between playrooms encourage interaction across age groups, helping children build friendships and transition smoothly as they grow.
At Arcadia at Easter Bush, we’re proud to offer a natural, supportive, and inspiring environment where children can thrive.
Our flat fee structure is based on charging for 52 weeks a year – the two week closure over Christmas and New Year plus In Service days have been taken into account when setting the daily charges.
Full day rate: £67.50
Late collection charge: £15.00 per half hour
(waived under exceptional circumstances)
The nursery is open 50 weeks of the year, closing only over the Christmas and New Year period and for 3 in service days. Nursery hours are 7:30am to 6:00pm Monday-Friday.
